Mrs. Gracie Haley Holland, 91, of Dalton, passed away November 21, 2012.
She was the daughter of the late, B. J. and Fannie Floyd Haley and was preceded in death by her husband Ernest “Dutch” Holland; sisters, Frances Roberts, Katie Goodwin, Mable Finch and Phoebe Whitfield; brother, Doyal Haley.
Gracie was a member of Dug Gap Baptist Church, worked for the North Georgia Fair as a director and was involved with the local and state Homemakers Club.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Ronald E. Parker of Dalton; sister, Helen Sheets of Calhoun; brother, Paul Haley of Rome; step-grandchildren, Crystal Garland and Jeff, Ronda Thomas and James; step-great-grandchildren, Samantha Garland, Dylan Garland, Austin, Garland, Stephanie Parker, Kimberly Thomas and Katie Thomas; special niece, Karen McDermott of Dalton and other nieces and nephews.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Hamilton Hospice, Regency Park and Royal Oaks the Gardens for their loving care and compassion.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday from Dug Gap Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Bagley the Rev. Bryon Edens officiating.
Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.
She will lie-in-state at Dug Gap Baptist Church on Saturday from noon until the service at 1 p.m.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Dug Gap Baptist Church Building Fund, 2031 Dug Gap Rd, Dalton, GA 30720 or to the Hamilton Hospice Volunteer Fund, P.O. Box 1168, Dalton, GA 30722.
