Danny Lamar Parker

Mr. Danny Lamar Parker. 59, of Dalton, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Emory Medical Center in Atlanta.
He was preceded in death by his father Edward “Ed” Parker.
Danny was a long time member and deacon at Olivia Baptist Church. He loved to play, make and repair Mandolins and Fiddles. Danny worked in the used automotive industry for more than 40 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Denise Shoemaker Parker of Dalton ; children and their spouses, Andy and Marla Parker and Drew and Jennifier Parker all of Dalton; mother Velma Parker of Dalton; brother Jimmy Parker and sister and brother-in-law, Maryann and Bill Worley all of Dalton; grandchildren, Maggie Parker Wade Parker and Everett Parker; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday from Olivia Baptist Church with the Rev. Bruce Beach and the Rev. Randy Postell officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5 to 9 P.M.
