David Hamilton, Jr.

Dr. David D. Hamilton, Jr., 62, of Atlanta and formerly of Dalton passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012.
He taught chemistry at Georgia State University and was preceded in death by his father David D. Hamilton, Sr. in 2001.
David is survived by his mother, Joan N. Hamilton of Dalton; brother, Dana Fields Hamilton of Dalton; nieces, Katie and Clayton Bonjean of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Rebecca and Tim Durkin of Jacksonville, FL and Dr. Hayley F. Hamilton of Birmingham, AL.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 3 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Walter Jones officiating.
Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Saturday from 2 to 3 P.M.
The family request that flowers be omitted and memorials made to one’s favorite charity.
