Mrs. Nina Viola Putnam Sane, 91, of Dalton, born November 25, 1921, left this life on December 17, 2012 to rest until the Lord returns. She was married to John Henry Sane for 66 years until his passing in 2007. For 3 years, she resided at Ridgewood Manor where she had many friends and was cared for by a thoughtful staff, including special friend Athena Baker.
She was preceded in death by all 10 of her siblings and their spouses; Oscar and Mary Putnam, Cecil and Ruth Putnam, Elbert and Georgia Lee Putnam, Ed and Minnie Putnam, Grady and Martha Putnam and Amy Putnam, Mary and Richard Jones, Effie and Bertie Collins, Louise and Walter Kennamer and Hattie Putnam.
Surviving are her children; Lynda and Fred Stevenson, Alan and Elaine Sane, Danny and Pam Sane; grandchildren, Barron Stevenson, Kim Reed, Tera Sane, Farrah Barton, Amber Sane and Travis Sane, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Nina was the oldest living member of the Dalton Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Pastor Chester Clark III and Dr. Jeff White officiating. Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Tuesday from 5 til 7 p.m..
