Earnest "Pete" Planzer, Jr.

Mr. Earnest “Pete” L. Planzer, Jr., 82, of Calhoun and formerly of Dalton, passed away Tuesday December 25, 2012 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest L. Planzer, Sr. and Leathe Crawford Planzer, his three bothers and three sisters.
Pete is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Betty Lou McMillan Planzer of Calhoun; son and daughter-in-law, David and Misty Planzer of Tunnel Hill; grandchildren, Justin Planzer, Colby Planzer and Zackery Planzer; great-grandchildren. Landon, Zain and Jase; nephew Terry Grant; great-niece Carmen (Shawn) Frame, great-great-nieces and nephew.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Wood and the Rev. Kenneth Roach officiating.
Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love funeral Home Wednesday after 5 p.m.
