Charles E. Lingerfelt

Mr. Charles E. Lingerfelt, 71, of Ellijay and formerly of Dalton, passed away Monday December 31, 2012 at Vistacare Hospice-Emory University in Atlanta.
He was the son of the late, Luther and Mary Agnes Bearden Lingerfelt and was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Charles was born in Rocky Face and raised in the Dalton community.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Guzman Lingerfelt of Ellijay; children, Leighann Lingerfelt of Chattanooga, Jeffery Charles Lingerfelt of Chattanooga and Stacy Clayton of Columbia, SC; sisters, Louise Satterfield, Betty Lewis both of Dalton and Katherine Manning of Lafayette; brother Edgar Lingerfelt of Atlanta; grandchildren, Cecily Macomber, Jake Lingerfelt, Collin Clayton and Madelaine Clayton; special niece, Mary Sutton of Lafayette, several nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service will be at 2 P.M. Saturday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Paul Clayton officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following services.
