Mr. Jack Robinson Burns, 74, of Rocky Face, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013.
He was born in Dalton, Georgia on May 26, 1938, son of the late Thomas G. Burns and Oma Caroline Robinson Burns and was preceded in death by his siblings, Clyde Burns, William Cecil Burns, Myrtle Melvinnie Johnson, Gladys Louise Burns, Hazel Jesse Mae Thacker, Jefferson Thomas Burns, David Leon Burns, Eunice Inez Ruffin, Roy Eugene Burns, Mary Francis Bonds and Barney Wayne Burns.
He was a member and Deacon at Lakeside Baptist Church and retired from Tuftco Dalton, Inc.
Jack is survived by his wife, Charlotte Fossett Burns of Rocky Face; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Mechelle Burns, Jerry and Wendy Burns all of Rocky Face; grandchildren, Marlena and Jon Lawrence of Lafayette, Ga, Kayla and Nathan Caffarelli of Macon, Ga, Carly Burns, Emily Burns, and Kameron Burns all of Rocky Face; great-grandson, Ty Caffarelli; sister, Bernice Christine Beavers of Macon; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Clifford Chambers, the Rev. Clyde Painter, and the Rev. Gary Mimbs officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Monday from 5 to 9 P.M.
