Neil Boggess, Md

Dr. Neil D. Boggess, 87, of Dalton, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013 at his residence.
He was the son of the late, Neil D. Boggess, Sr. and Nelda Wilson Boggess and was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Boggess.
Neil was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in W.W.II. and was a physician in Dalton for 35 years before retiring.
He is survived by his wife, Jan Boggess of Dalton; children, Julie and Bill Rice of Smyrna, GA, Neil D. “Dave” Boggess, III and Pam Wilson of Cartersville, GA, Nancy and David Korekach of Lebanon, TN, Mike Boggess and Bambi Litchman of Tacoma, WA, Steve Oliver of Dalton and Katrina Oliver of Dalton; brother, John and Terri Boggess of Raleigh, N.C.; grandchildren, Will and Kaci Rice of Atlanta, Jared Oliver of Dalton, three step-grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Guffey officiating.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.
