Sherman W. Ball

Mr. Sherman W. Ball, 89, of Rocky Face, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013 at his residence.
He was the son of the late, Marshall and Annie Johnson Ball and was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Lanora McHann Ball and a son Marshall Ball.
Sherman was a member of Unity Baptist Church and loved to garden.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Mike Gordon of Rocky Face; grandsons Greg (Carol) Gordon and Kendall (Erin) Ball; great-grandchildren, Kendra Ball, Hallee Ball, William Gordon and Andrew Gordon; nieces, nephews and his cat Callie.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday from Unity Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Marlin officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love funeral Home Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m.
