Mr. Jarrett “Jerry” Lamar Ellis, 77, who lived on Hungry Valley Way in Dalton for 56 years, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was the son of the late Gretchen and Gault Ellis of Dalton and was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Flossie and Howard Joyce also of Dalton.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Peggy Joyce Ellis of the residence; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Fred Foster of Chatsworth; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Connie Ellis and Tommy and Sue Smith all of Dalton; also two special daughters, Ashley Wilcox and Brittany Wilcox both of Dalton; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Chuck Harmon and the Rev. Lamar Graham officiating.
Burial will follow in United Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Sunday from 2 to 7 P.M.
