Frances Burchfield

Mrs. Frances Parker Burchfield, 93, of Dalton passed away Friday, May 9, 2013 at Morningside of Dalton.
She was the daughter of the late David and Eula Parker and was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Wilson Burchfield; son, Ralph Stanley Burchfield and granddaughter, Elizabeth Carder Burchfield.
Frances retired from the Valley Point Cafeteria after 20 years and also from the J.C. Penney Company after 40 years. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church where she retired from the nursery after 30 years, where everyone knew her as “Burchie”.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Sam C. and Lou Burchfield of Chatsworth, Edward O’Neal Sr. and Betty Burchfield of Duluth, Ga, Thomas Harold and Helen Burchfield of Campobello, SC, Jon and Carol Burchfield of Dalton and Lucille Burchfield of Dalton; grandchildren, David and Sharon Burchfield of Rocky Face, Wendy and Rodney Jarrard of Cumming, Ga, Eddie and Amanda Burchfield of Lawrenceville, Ga, Audrey and Rich Frank of Jacksonville, FL, Jennie and Glen Cauley of Pensacola, FL, Laurie and Dave Snelgrove of Greenville, SC, Michael Todd and Kristana Burchfield of Cleveland, TN, Samuel Ladean Burchfield and Frances Caroline Burchfield both of Dalton; great-grandchildren, Rachael Frank, Betsy Frank, Sarah Costanza, Julia Edwards, Katie Cauley, Isabelle Cauley, John David Jarrard, Sam Jarrard, Zachary Austin Burchfield, Chandler O’Neal Burchfield, Brennan Thomason, Tanner Burchfield, Brooklynn Hardin, Shelley Phillips, Matthew Burchfield and Renee Snelgrove; great-great-granddaughter, Emma Costanza; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday at 11 A.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. David Blackwood officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Saturday from 9 to 11 A.M.
