Carmella Sorrels,

Mrs. Carmella Gaudet Sorrels, 82, of Dalton, and originally from Stephenville, Newfoundland, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy D. Sorrels; parents, John and Johanna Gaudet; brothers, Richard Gaudet, Michael Gaudet and Patrick Gaudet; sisters, Dorothy Blanchard, Stella Lubert and Julia Gaudet.
Carmella is survived by her sons, Wayne Sorrels and Stephen Sorrels; daughter, Billie Prater; grandchildren, Jaime and Bryan Beckler, Shawn Sorrels and John Prater; special granddaughter, Jennifer Ward; great-grandchildren, Charlie and Will Beckler; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Margaret Gaudet, Mark and Julia Gaudet and Ted and Sheila Gaudet; sisters and brothers-in-law, Pauline Arsenault, Mary Destefano, Gennie and John Lipinski and Martha Howell; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members in Canada, Florida and Newfoundland also survive.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Tuesday from noon til 2 pm.
A memorial service with family will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Mark’s Preschool, 901 W. Emery St., Dalton GA, 30720.
