Fred Stone

Mr. Fred L. Stone, 85, of Dalton, passed away Tuesday May 14, 2013 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was the son of the late David and Mary Anna Swafford Stone and was preceded in death by his 6 brothers and sisters.
Fred was a veteran of the United States Army, having served two tours of duty in the Korean War.
He attended Valley Baptist Church and was retired from Shaw Industries.
Fred loved his pet cat Tom.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Pauline Gates Stone of Dalton; daughter and son-in-law, Freida and Alan Talley of Dalton; grandsons, Ryan (Allison) and Seth Talley and fiancé Alisha Cooper all of Canton; great-granddaughters, Rylan Reese Talley and Emery Elise Talley and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Hamm officiating.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Friday from 11 a.m. til the funeral hour at 3 p.m.
