Mrs. Ruby Lucile Rollins McCaleb, 90, of Dalton, passed away Sunday May 19, 2013 at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late, William and Ruby Turner Rollins and was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert McCaleb; daughter and son-in-law, Carol ann and John Heinen; step-father, Lewis J. Poe; brothers, Robert Rollins and William Wayne Rollins.
Lucille was a member of the Dalton First Presbyterian Church.
She was chairman and active member of the Berry Work Week, St. Mark’s Caring for Others Quilting Group and Dalton Quilters Guild. She loved to Quilt and Embroidery.
Lucille love to Play Bridge, listen to Gospel Music, travel with her husband and was always giving of her time.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Lucille is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William Hubert McCaleb, Sr and Shirley of South Boston Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-law, waunita and Ed Babb of Chatsworth, Willena and Mose Ballew of Cleveland, TN, Sandra and Doug Ellis of Chatsworth; step-sisters and step-brother-in-law, Eulene Talley and Marie and Tommy Brown all of Dalton; sister-in-law Leota Rollins of Mableton, GA; grandchildren, Michele (Bryan) Lindsey, William Hubert (Maria) Caleb, Jr, Scott Brown, Christopher ( Danielle) McCaleb and Amy (Wade) Riggleman; nine great-grandchildren; niece, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Cyndi Parr officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love funeral Home Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m.
