Mrs. Beadie Courson Swygert, 95, of Dalton passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was born January 15, 1918 in Pearson, Georgia to the late James Levi and Lessie Adams Courson and was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Swygert; sisters, Lieunette Cooper of Dalton and Vonice Pelz of Pearson; brothers, Ray Courson, Perry Courson, Billie Courson and Ralph Courson all of Pearson.
Beadie was a teacher at Varnell School before working at Colonial Stores and then later retiring from First National Bank. She was a devoted member of the Dalton First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sister, Nelva Cartlon of Ooltewah, TN; step-daughter, Diane Biesel of St. Simons, Ga; nieces, Frenette C. (Bob) Brown of Bradenton, FL, LaRae (Jim) Brown of Dahlonega, Ga, Patsy Walker, Nita Walker, Nell (Johnny) Tanner, Teresa (Mackie) Smith and nephew, Brad Courson all of Pearson.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Cannon officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Saturday from 1 to 2 P.M.
