Betty Hayes

Mrs. Betty Carter Hayes, 84, of Dalton passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 at Quinton Memorial.
She was the daughter of the late John J. Carter and Eva Hood Carter and was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel Hayes; brother, Eddie Carter and brothers-in-law, Charles O. Nix and Hoyt Lewallen.
Betty was a member of Dug Gap Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Eddie Williams of Dalton; grandson and wife, Greg and Jody Williams of Rocky Face; great-grandchildren, Isabella Williams, Carter Williams and Archer Williams; sisters, Willia Nix and Polly Lewallen both of Dalton; sister-in-law, Judy Carter of Dalton; nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hayes will be Saturday at 3:30 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Bagley officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Saturday from 1:30 to 3:30 P.M.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 200 W. Emery St, Suite 3, Dalton, Ga. 30720.
