Lela Linder

Mrs. Lela Mae Smith Linder, 74, of Dalton, died Monday, April 7, 2008 at her residence. She was born 1934 in Jackson County, Alabama to the late Mitchell and Mary Newberry Smith and was preceded in death by her husband, John Linder; brother, Greely Smith and sister, Nellie Sue Wilson.
Lela is survived by her daughter, Marcelle Head of Dalton; sons and daughter-in-law, Sammy and Cynthia Linder, Russell Linder all of Dalton; brothers, Mitchell Smith of Hale Town, TN., Floyd Neighbors and Alfred Neighbors both of New Hope, TN.; sisters, Eva Jo Barnswell and Gladys Kirk both of Bridgeport, AL., Sybil Bryan of South Pittsburgh, TN., Lois Gossette of New Hope, TN.; special friends of the family, Carmen and Harold Linn, Danielle and Donnie Wigand all of Dalton; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 P.M. from the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Isaac Johns and the Rev. David Flood officiating.
Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Tuesday after 4 P.M.
