MARGARET PEARLE DALES-SANHUEZA
June 16, 1953—June 21, 2013
2013 has been a year of profound loss for the Sanhueza family. It is with the deepest sadness and sorrow that we announce the death of our beloved wife, sister, mother, and grandmother, Margaret Pearle Dales-Sanhueza. Her passing is a terrible loss for all those who knew her. After a decade long battle with renal failure and cardiac disease, we find comfort in knowing that she no longer is suffering and that she was received by some very special angels.
Until the end, she never complained and maintained a brave and cheerful outlook through countless dialysis treatments, hospitalizations, and pain. She spent the final days of her life surrounded by her family and died at her home on June 21.
Margaret, known to her friends and family as Pegi, was born June 16, 1953 in Tampa, Florida. Pegi spent her youth on the beaches of Florida with her older sister, Jacqui, who cared for her until the very end.
Pegi traveled the world and met her husband, Rafael, while on an LDS social service mission in South America. After knowing each other for just one day, Pegi and Rafael were married for 34 years and had 7 children.
Her love for her family and her faith in God will be her legacy. She made a very loving home for her family where humor, kindness, and learning were celebrated. She was fun. She was funny. She taught her family to love life and instilled in her children a gratitude for every moment shared together. No phone call could end without “I Love You,” and no quarrel among siblings could end without hugs and kisses. Pegi dedicated her life to helping others. Her loving spirit lives on in her children.
She is survived by: her husband, Rafael Sanhueza; her sister, Jacqueline Moss; 4 sons and 2 daughters: Alejandro Rafael Sanhueza, Cris Isabella Sanhueza, José Francisco Sanhueza, Ginger Baker-Sanhueza, Pablo Sebastian Sanhueza, and Max Sanhueza; Lina B.
