Mrs. Loretta M. Worley Ballard Frost, 100, of Dalton, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2012 at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late, Clarence and Goldie Quinn Worley and was preceded in death by her loving husbands, Joseph Ballard and Charles “Jack” Frost; sisters Nola Mae Scoggins and Olive Marie McFain; brother Glen “Dutch” Worley.
Loretta was known by her family for her famous fried chicken, her apple pies and her good sense of humor. Her family honored her as she celebrated her 100th birthday in January of this year.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Lamar Elrod of Dalton; sister, Eleanor “Janie” Coop of Jerseyville, IL; grandchildren, Lori (Jeff) Collins, Teri Elrod (Moré) Vidal, Dinah Edwards and Lamar Elrod, Jr.; great grandchildren, Blake (Emily) Elrod, Ryan Collins, Megan Collins, Emily Edwards, Chelsea Elrod; great-great-grandchild, Jadon Lee Elrod; nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.
