Mr. James F. “Cotton” Dotson, 82, of Dalton, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was the son of the late, John and Lois Earley Dotson and was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Hewitt Dotson; daughter, Sally Dotson; brother, Albert Dotson.
Cotton was a veteran of the United States Army and served in W.W. II; he owned and operated Cotton’s Electric Motor Shop on Murray Ave. for many years and he was a founder, first president and avid member of the N.W. Georgia Regional Chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Di-Anna and Paul Dimeck of Emerson, N.J.; loving companion, Virginia “Ginger” Jamison of Dalton; nieces, nephews and many dear friends also survive.
Services will be Saturday at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Elsberry officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the Love Funeral Home Friday from 5 to 8 P.M.
