Roy Lee Chitwood

Mr. Roy Lee Chitwood, 87, of Dalton, died suddenly, Thursday, April 17, 2008 at his residence.
He was the son of the late, Joe and Viola Wilbanks Chitwood and was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy “Dot” Williams Chitwood in 1998; his brothers, Dillard Chitwood, Paul Chitwood and Claude Chitwood; sisters, Lucy Webb, Stella Webb and Ruby Pullen. He was a member of the Dalton First Baptist Church.
Roy is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Michael McAllister of Dalton; nieces and nephews also survive.
Services will be Saturday at 11 A. M. in the chapel of the First Baptist Church with Dr. Bill Wilson and Rev. Phillip Cannon officiating.
Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the Love Funeral Home Friday from 5 to 8 P. M.
The family request flowers be omitted and memorials be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 827, Dalton, GA. 30722-0827 or to the ALS Association, Georgia Chapter, 1955 Cliff Valley Way, Suite 116, Atlanta, GA. 30329, in honor of Lynn Chitwood.
