Gerald "Chief" Waldrop

Mr. Gerald William “Chief” Waldrop, 68, of Dalton passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013 after a long illness.
Mr. Waldrop moved to Dalton from Anniston, Alabama in 1967 and spent 38 years in the finance business.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Waldrop and his three children, Barry DeLane, Gerald Wayne and Gregory Todd; three step-daughters, Karen Burge, Kelly Bragg and Kristi Steelman; brother, Ferrell Wayne Waldrop and also surviving Mr. Waldrop is eight grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for Mr. Waldrop will be Sunday at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron McKinney officiating.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Sunday from 12:30 to 2 P.M.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 200 W. Emery St, Suite 3, Dalton, Ga. 30720.
