Mrs. Myrtle Eugenia Dixon Silvers, 92, of Chatsworth passed away on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late Babe and Ruby Ridley Dixon and was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse R. Silvers Sr. and brother, Robert Dixon.
Myrtle loved flowers, gardening and cooking dinner for her family. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church but attended Valley Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Alvin and Judy Silvers of Cleveland, TN, Jesse Silvers Jr. and Shirley Silvers of Dalton, Jerry and Judy Silvers of Crandall and Randall Silvers of Chatsworth; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jewel Wilson of Benton, TN, Willie Mae and Raymond Bryant of Maryville, TN, Ruth and James Nealy of Dalton; brother and sister-in-law, Mikey and Faye Dixon of Tellico Plains, TN; grandchildren and spouses, Joanie and Jody Robinson, Travis Silvers, Jerome and Robin Silvers, Tony and Daina Silvers, Missy and Buster Fox Jr, Angie and David Phillips; great-grandchildren, Ethan Robinson, Emily Silvers, Jessie Fox, Erin Silvers, Amber Fox and one baby on the way; great-great-grandchild, Eli Robinson; special friend, Edna Green of Dalton; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Silvers will be Thursday at 3 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerome Silvers and the Rev. Buster Fox Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Wednesday from 5 to 9 P.M.
