Claud Jones

Mr. Claud Jones, 73, of Tunnel Hill, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at his residence. He was the son of the late Jace and Ophlia Walker Jones and was preceded in death by his wife, of 47 years, Brenda Winters Jones; son, Ricky Allen Jones; brothers, J.B. Jones, Frank Jones and Ralph Jones; sister, Ina Mae Rogers.
Claud is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, James and Betty Jones of Tunnel Hill; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Roger Witt of Tunnel Hill; grandchildren Andrew and Tabitha Witt, Christopher Witt and Amy Butler, Phillip Ables and Ricky Jones; great grandchild, Jackson Witt; brother and sister-in-law, Ed “Fuzzy” and Dora Lee Jones; sisters and brother-in-law, Mildred and Dewey Hooper of Tunnel Hill, Sue Lyles of Ranger, GA and Lucy Hatt of Calhoun GA; special sisters-in-law, Louise Jones and Barbara Jones; nieces and nephews.
Special friends, Carla Stephens, Michael Stephens, Hannah Stephens, Jerry Stephens, Maria Stephens, Don Haddock, Zachary and Amber Harkins, Rev. Michael Stephens and Rev. Lee Williams.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Michael Stephens and the Rev. Lee Williams officiating.
Burial will follow in the Gordy Memorial Cemetery with James Jones, Chris Witt, Andrew Witt, Roger Witt, Ricky Jones and Zachary Harkins serving as pall bearers and Don Haddock and Daniel Tuck will serve as honorary pall bearers.
The family will receive friends Thursday after 4 p.m. at Love Funeral Home.
