Russell W. Powell

Mr. Russell W. “Dasher” Powell, 85, of Dalton, died Wednesday, November 16, 2005 in Hamilton Medical Center.
He was the son of the late, George W. Powell, Sr. and Jimmie Lou Caylor Powell and was preceded in death by his brothers, Hollis Powell and George W. Powell, Jr.; sister, Dorothy E. Chapman.
Dasher was a veteran of WW II having served in the Army Air Corp.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Katherine Spann Powell of the residence.
Son and daughter-in-law, Russ and Shannon Powell of Hendersonville, TN.
Sister, Mary Lou Raymond of Atlanta.
Brother, James Powell of Chatsworth.
Grandchild, Matthew B. Powell.
Nieces ana nephews.
Services will be Saturday at 1 P.M. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. James Brownlee officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Saturday from 11 till the Funeral Hour at 1.
