Mrs. Nellie B. Morgan Prater, 91, of Resaca, died Tuesday November 22, 2005 at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late, John and Burnice Hendon Morgan and was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Earl Prater, Sr; daughters, Oline Elizabeth Cooper Deaton, Joyce Marie Rackley; brothers, Clarence Edward Morgan, William Franklin Morgan and James Riley Morgan.
Nellie was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, James Willard Prater of Lecanto, FL., Richard Earl Prater, Jr. of Dalton.
Daughters, Margaret Ray Wilson of Resaca, Christine Stephen Hair of Dalton, Betty and Ivan Carson of Dalton, Cookie Duckworth and Jim Elliot of Cleveland.
Sisters, Emma McDougal of Gadsden, AL., Kathryn Carter Houck and Burnice Houck both of Piedmont, AL.
Brother, Charles Morgan of Dalton.
24 Grandchildren, 36 Great-Grandchildren, 14 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
1 Great-Great-Great-Grandchild.
34 Step-Grandchildren.
Nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
And a very special neighbor, Carl and Sue Williams.
Services will be Saturday at 2 P.M. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. John Massingill and the Rev. Tim Sanford officiating.
Burial will be in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Friday from 5 to 8 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to the Bethlehem Baptist Church, c/o Larry Lee, 4684 Old Dixie Hwy, Dalton, Ga., 30721.
