Mrs. Nema “Sissy” Kendall, 80, of Dalton, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2008
She was the daughter of the late, H. W. and Ina Stover Kendall.
Nema moved from the mountains in Dial, Ga. to Dalton at the age of 18. She went to work at the American Thread Mill in the late 1940's. She bought her home and moved her Mother and Father to Dalton in 1949. After the closing of the American Thread Mill she went to work at The Crown Cotton Mill and worked there until its closing. She was also employed at Colony Spinning, and she retired after 20 years at Aladdin Mills.
Sissy is survived by her sister, Linda Jane Herbal of Dalton; Brothers and sisters-in-law, Wylie and Dorothy Kendall of Dalton and Kenneth and Ida Kendall of Summerville, GA.; special nephew, Larry and Ann Kendall; nieces and nephew, Joyce Kendall, Julie Kendall and Kenny Kendall.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 P. M. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Dewey Boyd officiating.
Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Saturday from 5 to 9 P. M.
