Sara Reid

Mrs. Sara Gail Reid, 59, of Orlando, Florida and formerly of Dalton, passed away January 14 at her home after a valiant 13 year battle with cancer. She was born in Dalton, Georgia where she attended high school. She graduated from the Medical College of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene. She attended Seminole Community College where she completed an Associate degree in Computer Science. Most of her professional career was spent as a computer analyst at First Data International. Her avocation was the restoration of antique picture frames.
Sara was preceded in death by her father, Charles Reid, Jr. and is survived by her husband, Gary Hollingsworth of Orlando, FL; mother, Amy Reid of Dalton; brother, Charles Reid III of Hull, GA; and special cousin Janet Webb of Tampa, FL.
A private graveside service will be held Monday at Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends in the atrium of Dalton First Baptist Church Monday from 3 to 4 P.M.
The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorials may be made to Dalton First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 827, Dalton, GA. 30722-0827.
