Erik Jason Johns

Mr. Erik Jason Johns, 32, of Sugar Valley, GA., went to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 21, 2008, following an accident at his home.
He was a 1994 graduate of Southeast High School and was employed with Dalton Utilities for 10 years. He was very active in sports and coached Community Ed
T ball in Calhoun, GA. and was also an avid hunter. He was a member of the Center Point Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bobby Cox, Ouida Johns and niece, Jaida Drew Johns
Erik is survived by his loving wife of 7 years, Christy Harris Johns and his wonderful children, Tyler, Jasper and Jaylene all of Sugar Valley; parents, Jimmy and Shelia Johns of Sugar Valley; brother, Ian Johns of Sugar Valley; mother-in-law, Faye Mills of Dalton; father-in-law and step-mother, Danny and Trina Boling of Crandall; nieces and nephew, Jana, Jaide and Jace; sister-in-law, Katelyn Boling; grandparent, Trammell Johns of Dalton and Mildred Cox of Dalton; many aunts, uncles and cousins, special cousins, Rob and Kristy Johnson, Breannia Johnson, Avery Johnson, Gabby Johnson; best friend, Brian Brewer of Calhoun; many other friends and co-workers also survive.
Services will be Tuesday at 4 P.M. at the Center Point Baptist Church with the Rev. George Ross, the Rev. Todd Mitchell and Sam Dillard officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Monday after 4 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials may be made to the Johns children’s Trust Fund, P.O. Box 304, Sugar Valley, Ga. 30746.
