Betty Cavender

Mrs. Betty Andrews Cavender, 75, of Dalton, passed away Friday, March 14, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Andrews Cole, husband Ely Nathan Cavender and a grandson, Malachi Andrews Padgett.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Marlin Gene Cavender and Michael and Sherri Cavender; daughter and son-in-law Melinda Mae and Kenneth Dwayne Postell; sister, Katie Cole Simmons; grandchildren, Mark Cavender, Melissa Cavender, Morgan Padgett, Maegan (Patrick) Suddeth, Kymberly Postell and Megan Postell; great-grandchildren, Matthew Cavender, Malachi Padgett and Moriah Padgett; special friend and caregiver, Rebecca Delores Walston.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday from Maple Grove Baptist Church.

Betty was laid to rest beside her husband in West Hill cemetery.
