Opal Buckner Brooks

Mrs. Opal Buckner Brooks, 83, of Tunnel Hill, passed away Saturday July 26, 2008 at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late, Andy and Emma Witherow Buckner and was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Fate Brooks.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and John Gillmore of Ringgold; son and daughters-in-law, John and Brenda Brooks of Tunnel Hill, Lee and Debbie Brooks of Dalton, Danny Brooks of Dalton, Joe and Sandra Brooks of Elizabeth Town, KY., David and Shirley Brooks of Franklin, TN; 14 Grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends and caregivers.
Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Tuesday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Joe Brooks officiating.
Burial will follow in Gordy Memorial Cemetery in Catoosa County.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Monday from 4 to 8 P.M.
