Jane Smith

Mrs. Jane Higgins Smith, 84, of Dalton, died Saturday August 9, 2008 at her residence.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was preceded in death by her husband William Nesbitt “Bill” Smith, Sr. in 1993.
Jane is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Fletcher Wade Smith and Janet S. Smith of Dahlonega, Ga., William Nesbitt “Bill” Smith, Jr. of Richmond, Va.; grandchildren, Allyson Alexis Smith of Chattanooga, Tn., Emily Williamson Smith of New York City and William Nesbitt Smith, III of Richmond, Va.
Her love in life was her family, friends, golf, bird watching and sports, especially the Braves.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 A. M. at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Tyler Downing officiating.
Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Monday from 5 to 7 P.M.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 510 South Tibbs Rd., Dalton, Ga. 30720.
