Bonnie Baxter

Mrs. Bonnie Shelton Baxter, 97, of Dalton and formerly of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014. She was the daughter of the late George and Sue Danley Shelton and was preceded in death by her husband Joseph T. Baxter, Sr.; brothers Walter Shelton and Hansird Shelton; sister, Helen Freeze.
Bonnie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Turney and Debbie Baxter; grandchildren, David and Rachel Baxter, Amy Baxter; great-grandchildren, Ellie, Sam, Henry, Nora Kate and Charlie Baxter; sisters-in-law Jean and Clyde Ingram, Jane and Phil Vivona, Joyce Shelton; brother-in-law, Clinton Freeze; several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to send special thanks to Morningside Assisted Living for the loving care they provided for the past 10 years.
Memorial services will be at 2 pm at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg, TN on Saturday, June 21, 2014 with the Rev. E.G. Sims officiating. The Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
There will also be a memorial service held at Love Funeral Home on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at 2 pm with the Rev. Sam Melton officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
Burial will be in Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to The Alzheimer's Association, 922 East Morris St., Dalton, GA 30721, or to one’s favorite charity.
