Connie Boyd

Miss Connie Leah Boyd, 57, died peacefully on Thursday, July 10, 2014.
Born in Toccoa, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Carl Willard “Red” and Margaret Helen Cox Boyd.
Connie was a graduate of Jacksonville State University with a degree in English and playing in their band the Marching Southerners was a joy for her.
As a longtime member of Eastside Baptist Church, she shared her musical talents as pianist, choir member and soloist.
As long as her health permitted, she was employed in the banking industry.
Connie is survived by a brother, Michael Boyd and his wife, Sheila of Fair Play, SC; a niece, Celia Boyd Myers, her husband Robert and their children Kate, Brooke, and Lilly; three aunts and numerous cousins also survive.
Services will be at Eastside Baptist Church at 11 A.M. on Saturday, July 12 with Dr. Aaron Jones officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends in the church foyer one hour prior to the service.
