Bertice Jones

One special lady, Mrs. Bertice Cook Jones, 87, of Dalton left this earth Wednesday morning, September 3, 2014 at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late Farley Cook and Bessie Greeson Cook and was preceded in death by her brothers, Hollace Cook and Jerome Cook; nephew, Richie Cook; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Lucy Jones; and brothers-in-law, Ray Jones and Harold W. Jones.
She was a member of the Dalton First Baptist Church.
Bertice is survived by her loving husband, Clarence Asa Jones of Dalton; sister, Vernell C. Mann of Dalton; sisters-in-law, Bennie Wilbanks of Dalton, Peggy Jones of Rocky Face and Betty Jones of Sanford, Florida; aunt, Evelyn Cook Bandy of Tunnel Hill; nieces, Lee Mann Harden, Wadean Hinchey, Cindy Chadwick, Tammy Glover, and Jacquline Jones; nephews, Mike Cook, Steven Asa King, Rick King, Scott Cook, Ray G, Jones and Garland Jones; cousins also survive.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Hamilton Hospice for their love and care.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Cannon officiating.
Burial will follow in New Hope Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Saturday from 12 to 2 P.M.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
