Joan Dixon

Mrs.Joan Wofford Dixon, 71 of Dalton passed away on Friday August 29th.
Joan was born Nov.18th 1942 in Dalton a daughter of the late Bennie and Johnnie Wofford.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jewel "Jack" Dixon.
Joan is survived by son Kevin Wofford and daughter Angela Wofford, Cousins, Patty Wofford Marshall, Billy Ray and Rosalie Green, John and Vivian Kennemer, Helen Cox, Derrick and Meghan Wofford, and very close friend Ethel Nix.
Joan spent a big part of her life caring for others.She had a very kind and generous heart.She will be remembered and very missed by many more surviving cousins and countless friends and her very sweet dog Maggie.
A very special thanks from her son to all that helped and cared for her especially SICU nurses at Hamilton MedicalCenter.
Joan had private burial on Tuesday and will have a memorial service to celebrate her life on Sunday Sept. 7th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the rock Chapel at West Hill Cemetery.
