David Hill

Mr. David Hill, 64, of Calhoun, passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side on Friday, September 12, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his father, Luke Hill and father-in-law, Bernard Fisher. David leaves behind the love of his life and wife of 42 years, Sue Fisher Hill. He was the wonderful father of his two fishing and hunting buddies, his sons, Adam and Mark Hill of Resaca and Adams wife, his daughter-in-love, Amanda Hill. He was an awesome poppy to his six grandchildren, Kristin and Emily Hill of Dalton and Seth, Sierra, Skyler and Griffin Hill of Resaca. He is survived by mother, Evelyn Hill of Cohutta and siblings, Marie (Dennis) Smith of Dalton, Lake (Donna) Hill, Joyce (James) Wilson, and Susan Hill all of Cohutta. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Geneva Fisher, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Linda and Donald Johnson, Diane and Walter Lowe, Steve and Vickie Fisher, and Bradley and Karen Fisher. Very special friends, Ryan and Samantha Acree; nieces, nephews and special friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to North Star Hospice for the care that was given in our time of need, Lisa Beasley, Robin Stallings, Holly Hennessee, Luke Morgan and Dana Dockery, we thank you. They would also like to thank the staff at Dr. Eric Turner’s office as well as Gordon Hospital for their care and compassion.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. William Roberts officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.
