Mrs. Frances Wilodyne Bryant Massey went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 21, 2014.
She was born July 25, 1913 and blessed the Bryant and Massey families for 101 years and 58 days.
She was preceded in death by her husband Julian I. Massey, Sr., infant son Theodore Leon Massey, grand-daughter Frances Joy Massey, her “Momma” Onie Evans Bryant, her “Papa” George W. Bryant and fourteen brother and sisters.
She loved her family and devoted her life to them. She was a loving wife and mother, homemaker, Sunday School teacher, shrewd business woman, avid reader and a great friend to countless hundreds through the years. She will be missed greatly by all those who were privileged to know her.
Mrs. Massey is survived by her son Julian I. Massey, Jr. (Jack) of Lawrenceville, GA, and her daughter Jean Massey Johnson of Dalton; grandson Greg Johnson and grand-daughters Judi Massey Williams, Jill Massey Catoe and Sally Johnson Jacobs (Eric); great-grandsons Matthew Mitchell Williams (Megan), Taylor and Josh Jacobs and great-granddaughters Melinda Williams, Hillary Jacobs Reininga and Lily Jacobs; great-great-grandson David Lee McDonald and great-great-granddaughters Emily and Skylar Williams, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sumach Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Chatsworth, GA, with George Bryant and Rev. Sam Melton officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service on Thursday from 1 until 2 PM and again immediately following the service.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
