Mr. Paul W. Anderson, 91, of Dalton passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 at his residence.
He was born October 17, 1923 to the late Paul Jackson Anderson and Ella Williams Anderson and was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Booth.
Paul was a graduate of Dalton High School, served in the United States Navy during World War II as a Radarman and was a retired postmaster at the Dalton Post Office. He was a charter member of Trinity United Methodist Church and he was a devoted husband to his wife Sue, his sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Sue Gryder Anderson of the residence; sons and daughter-in-law, Robert and Minnie Anderson of Dalton and Donald Anderson of Ellijay; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dale and Marie Anderson of Dalton, John and June Anderson of Rossville; grandchildren, Andy (Jennifer) Anderson, Adam (Kellie) Anderson and Robert (Kellie) Anderson; great-grandchildren, Will Anderson, Ashlyn Anderson and Lily Anderson; nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home. Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Wednesday from
5 to 8 p.m.
The family asks that flowers please be omitted and memorials be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 901 Veterans Drive, Dalton, Ga. 30721.
