Mr. James Arnold Phillips, 77, of Dalton passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was the son of the late Earl and Tennie Phillips and was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Sue Phillips; sisters and brothers-in-law, Clyde and Lillian Brock, Don Whaley, Louise Langley, Juanita Wimpy, Bell Kuhn, Melvin Phillips and Earl Phillips.
Arnold is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Irene Phillips of Panama City Beach, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and James O. Bingham of Dalton; grandchildren, Memory Phillips, Tara Bingham and Amber (Chad) Cochran; great-grandchildren, Nora Bradley, Eli Cochran, Ethan Cochran and Emma Cochran; sisters, Jean Hammontree and May Crow both of Cohutta; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mary Whaley, Joe and Rachael Brock, Kenneth and Brenda Brock, Odell and Garnell Fossett, Richard and Nancy Brock, Sonja and Raymond Martin, Ronnie Kuhn, Ruth Phillips and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Beach and the Rev. Danny Cochran officiating.
Burial will follow in United Memorial Gardens with Tim Ausmus, Andy Smith, Chris Johnson, Anthony Patton, Jimmy Gallman and Travis Smith serving as pallbearers and Richard Bearden and Chad Cochran serving as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Monday from 5 to 9 p.m.
