Mrs. Ethel Moore Sumner, 74, of Dalton, passed away Thursday November 6, 2014, in Littleton, Colorado surrounded by the family she loved dearly.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James C. Moore, Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleon Sumner, and her brothers, Jerry and Glenn Moore. She is survived by her daughter, Amy Evans, and son-in-law, Bryan; grandchildren, Sumner and Hannah; and several nieces and nephews
Mrs. Sumner was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her greatest joy was spending time with her daughter and grandchildren. Mrs. Sumner loved the Lord and lived life with a servant's heart and a sense of gratitude for all her blessings.
She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Dalton. She also was a member of the Lesche Woman’s Club, and Dalton Garden Club.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Friday, November 14, 2014, from 4 until 6 p.m. Services will be held Saturday at 1p.m. in the chapel of First Baptist Church of Dalton with the Rev. Dr. Bill Ireland and the Rev. Phillip Cannon officiating. Burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made in Mrs. Sumner's honor to First Baptist Church of Dalton, P.O. Box 827, Dalton, GA, 30722.
