James Dollar

Mr. James Dollar, 90, of Dalton passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 at his residence.
He was retired from the United States Army having served during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He loved to fish and garden and was a foster parent for over 40 years.
James is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Marie Brorson Dollar of Dalton; children, David and Kara Dollar of Dalton, Lona Pilgaard, Niles Dollar and Alex Dollar all of Denmark; brother and sister-in-law, David and P.J. Dollar of Decatur, AL; sisters, Dorothy Pitts and Tincy Dollar both of Dalton; grandchildren, James Dollar, Justin Dollar, Destini Dollar, Corey Creek, Kenzi Dollar, Tiffany Dollar, Blake Duarte, Annette Pilgaard and Kristina Pilgaard; great-grandchildren, Isabella Pilgaard and Kara Pilgaard; foster sons, Gary and David Sheats of Atlanta; special friends, Terry and Judy Leverette of Dalton; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Shane Curtis and Ross Jordan officiating.
Burial will follow in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
