Evelyn Nelson

Mrs. Evelyn H. Nelson, 90, of Dalton, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late, William and Tennie Bishop Hitt and was preceded in death by her husband, James Nelson.
Evelyn was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Jerry and Aileen Stephenson of Dalton, Shirley Stephenson of Dalton and Bobby and Neba Stephenson of Crandall; brothers, Buddy Hitt of Calhoun and Jack Hitt of Colorado; sister Judy Hitt of California; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary McPherson officiating.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m.
