Mrs. Rhonda Cohran-Welch, of Dalton, died November 27, 2014 after a short hospital stay. She was born in 1952 in Whitfield County. Rhonda was a member of Olivia Baptist Church and worked as a customer service specialist/trainer for GTE and Alltel for 25 years. She loved gospel music, traveling and her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother Barbara Foster Franklin, and grandparents, Steed and Foy Franklin and Dewey and Ollie Foster.
Rhonda is survived by her husband of 27 years, Ted Welch; son Brian Cohran both of Dalton and Zach Welch of Atlanta; father Gordon Franklin of Dalton; grandchildren, Connor Cohran, Kiersten Cohran both of Dalton; aunt and uncle, Troy and Marlene Foster of Cumming, GA; cousins, Shelia (Leon) Leatherwood, Lamar (Debbie) Foster all of Cumming, Alan (Diane) Foster of Pell City, AL and Olan Foster of Jasper. GA.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the caring MICU staff at Hamilton Medical Center.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Olivia Baptist Church with the Rev. Bruce Beach and the Rev. Troy Foster officiating.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love funeral Home Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m.
