Betty Cowart

Mrs. Betty Cowart “Aunt Betty”, 82, went to meet the Lord on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late Mace and Edna Owens and was preceded in death by her loving husband, Odis Cowart and her beloved brother, Eukly Owens.
A long time resident of Dawnville, Betty was a true friend and loved everyone. Her favorite pastime was laughter – hers and yours. Betty was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Riggs of Oak Ridge, TN, Koeppie Hay of Nashville, TN and Karen McDermott of Dawnville; grandsons, Rowdy Riggs of Oak Ridge, TN. and Jeremy Lawless of Oklahoma; great-granddaughters, Emma and Anna Lawless; sister-in-law, Aileen Owens of Covington, GA; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
There will be a graveside service on Thursday at 1 p.m. at Dawnville United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Willis Sr. and Mr. Danny Jones officiating.
A visitation and celebration of Betty’s life will be held at Harmony Baptist Church fellowship hall immediately following the graveside service.
