Mrs. Helen K. Cox, 87, of Dalton passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014.
She was born July 16, 1927, daughter of the late Clarence and Gladys Long and was preceded in death by her brother, Lloyd Long.
Helen was a long time employee of the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Department before retiring in 1995.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Penny Cox of Lafayette, GA; grandson, Vaughn Cox of Florida; great-granddaughters, Hannah Whitlock and Katie Cox both of Dalton; cousins, Billy Ray and Rosalie Green of Dalton; she is also survived by cousins and special Whitfield County Sheriff’s Department family and the caregivers of Quinton Memorial Healthcare.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Gardner officiating.
Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Wednesday from
5 to 7 p.m.
