Andrea Chappell

Ms. Andrea Bennieta Chappell, 54, died peacefully at Hamilton Medical Center surrounded by her family on Friday, January 9, 2015.

Andrea was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Aline and Bennie Andrew of Perry, GA. and fraternal grandparents, Lucille and Leon Chappell of Warner Robbins, GA.

Andrea was a gifted and talented artist who formerly worked as a carpet designer. She was a great lover of animals. She had a kind and generous heart for those around her who were less fortunate.

She is survived by her parents, Bill and Bennieta Chappell of Dalton; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Jackie Chappell of Dalton; nephew, Will Chappell of Calhoun; niece, Callie Chappell of Dalton; companion, Walden McHugh of Dalton; aunt, Joyce Bledsoe of Jacksonville, FL; special cousins also survive.

The family would like to thank Dr. Glenn Boyd and his staff who faithfully attended Andrea for many years. They would also like to thank the ICU staff at Hamilton Medical Center for their excellent care during the last week of her life.

The family will hold a private memorial service at 12 noon in the Chapel of the Dalton First United Methodist Church on Monday with Dr. Robin Lindsey officiating.

No visitation will be held.

The family requests no flowers and memorials be made to the Dalton First United Methodist Church, 500 S. Thornton Ave, Dalton, Ga. 30720 or to the Humane Society of N.W. Georgia, P.O. Box 3946, Dalton, Ga. 30719.
