Roger Allen Edwards

Mr. Roger Allen Edwards, 63, of Dalton passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Howard Edwards.

Allen attended Jacksonville Baptist College in Texas and his ministry work was in Lufkin, TX. He was past president of the Epilepsy Association of Georgia and past Chaplain of the Dalton Chapter. He was a sports fan and love d the Georgia Bulldogs. But he loved Gods work most of all.

He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Gilliland Edwards; brother, William Terry Edwards both of Dalton; children, Matthew Robin Edwards and Christopher Mark Edwards both of Texas; granddaughter, Brooklyn Renee Edwards; very special friends, Teresa Beene of Ft. Oglethorpe and Vicki Black of Winston Salem, NC.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. George Ross officiating.

Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Thursday from Noon until the funeral hour at 2 p.m.

The family asks that flowers please be omitted and memorials be made to the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home, 2930 Flowers Rd., Atlanta, GA 30341.
