Lucy Moncrief

Mrs. Lucina “Lucy” Joiner Moncrief passed away March 23, 2015. She was born in Moultrie, GA on February 27, 1937.
She was the oldest child of the late, Dr. R. M. and Mary Milsap Joiner.
Lucy attended Moultrie High School where she met her lifelong sweetheart Eddie. She attended Emory University and he attended Clemson University, but they later married and settled in Dalton 48 years ago.
Lucy’s loving personality and wry wit are endearing traits that will be remembered by all those she met.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Eddie Moncrief of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Patty Moncrief of Dunwoody, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Art Fowler of Dahlonega, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Sheron Joiner of Moultrie, Clifford Joiner of Monroe, GA and David and Barbara Joiner of Stone Mountain, GA; three grandchildren, Eddie III, Alaina and Sophia; many loving nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be at Noon Friday at ChristChurch Presbyterian with Dr. Bill Dudley officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall of the Church.
The family asks that flowers please be omitted and memorials be made to ChristChurch Presbyterian, 510 South Tibbs Rd. Dalton, Ga 30720, or to one’s favorite charity.
