Mrs. Mary Sue Myers Carney, 95, of Dalton passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015.

She was the daughter of the late Robert Elias Myers and Ella Louisa Sanders Myers and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Frank Carney; brothers, Raymond Myers, Taylor Myers, Tommy Myers and Francis “Babe” Myers; sisters, Ruby Nunley, Theresa “Irene” Thompson; brother-in-law, J.B. Carney and nephew, Gene Myers.

Sue worked for the American Thread Mill until it closed and then worked for Myers Carpet until she retired.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Linda and Ronnie Boyd, and Debby Rogers all of Dalton, Barbara Carney Shields and the late Wallace Shields; sister-in-law, Ethel Carney (J.B.); grandchildren, Rhonda (Tim) Peters, Jessica (Tripp) Bell, Eric (Jennifer) Rogers and Keith Goforth; great-grandchildren, Chloe Peters, Tristan Peters, Lily Bell, Eliza Bell, Emma Rogers, Ryan Rogers and Natasha Goforth; nephews, Rick (Lisa) Myers, Ray (Courtney) Myers ,Gary Myers, Jon (Casey) Carney); nieces, Vicky Nixon, Patricia (Rod) Scherencel; special friends, Tullah Smith and Laura Haley; great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Dr. Ron McKinney officiating.

Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Monday after 4 p.m.
